Staying OP Saturday July 8th

Good morning all you BESTer's!!!!!!!! It is a lovely day here in my neck of the woods and I am heading off to some yard sales and then Curves in a few minutes. Just wanted to start today's thread since I don't often do that.

I have been OP to a fault since Wednesday except for last night at dinner............I gorged myself with a huge dessert to celebrate my 100 workouts since Nov. 1st. I know, not the best of rewards but I don't do it that often. Yes, I got my T-shirt! Of course, looking back, I probably have 400 workouts since I joined Curves in 03 but the campaign only started after we got computerized late last year. Water has been OK. Hopefully, I will continue on this healthy path even though the scales remain the same. I am outta here for now but I will try and stop back later........... s

Staying OP Saturday July 8th

Hello all of you Best s
It is another beautiful day here in NE Ohio. I have to run to the feed store to get somthing for the beetles, they are starting to make a nuisance of themselves.
Today will be OP for me. I kinda fell of the wagon last night at the Rogers Sale (farmers market/flea market) and had a corn dog, BUT! they microwaved it instead of deep frying it! It wasn't as good.
Todays food will remain OP, Activia yogurt and soy milk for bkfst and egg drop soup for lunch with a Curves shake for snack and for dinner we are having BarBQued pork. I will have a zuchinni and a sweet potato cooked on the grill with my pork.
Emily, you are doing so great and congrats on getting the 100 workout t-shirt. Have fun yard saling.
I am off to get busy. Gertie needs a bath. :nose:
Catch you all later.

Staying OP Saturday July 8th

Hi
Emily- well done on reaching your 100!!

Hi Margo, the plans for BBQ sound yummy!

Busy day today and the good news is we are getting to take out M/L tomorrow, not sure who is sitting with her partner but right now I don't mind as long as we get to take her out.

Food good so far today but went out last night. Really 'posh' reastaurant so dread to think of the calories but it doesn't happen often.

Hope to gym it again tomorrow sometime to try the new programme on my own.

Bye for now.......

Good morning BEST s

Today is going to be another scortcher Started early as DD had a soccer practice at 9 am And we're off for a picnic at noon... with and all.

So far, today is OP and I'm pretty proud of myself for staying on track throughout the week... minus a few stray moments. I don't know what exercise will be... either a long walk to get to the picnic area or a bike ride later in the day.

Yesterday, we went to Mount King and got a nice hike of about 30 minutes in hilly, tricky terrain. And Hercules is becoming such a well behaved pooch: has less tendency to strain at the lead, refrains from jumping on people to say Hello and sits when we tell him to sit.

(((Emily)))) congrats on reaching your 100th work-out We only get the t-shirts after 300 or 400 work-outs. I'm currently at about 175 work-outs in about 18 months. I'm hoping to have my 300 milestone t-shirt by the end of January.

((((Margo))))) that BB sounds absolutely yummy!!!

((((Marion))))) You need to indulge once in a while: that's what keeps us on track the rest of the time.

Morning BEST Friends

Today started out lovely, but has now clouded up? We were supposed to enjoy the shine thru tomorrow. Mabye it will blow thru.

Yesterday was as good as to be excected. It was good to see lots of family that came out. Such wonderful support to DH's cousin. He was one of those truly NICE guy's - a pleasure to know. Went to the house after and I ate OK. Had 2 pieces of wrap sandwhich - they were cut small about 2- 2.5" each. Perfect size for me. I did eat a few chips, green olives , and a slice of deli pickle. I also had 2 tiny lemon tarts (the little tiny one bite size things). Didn't get home until after 6:30pm - was a long ride and dropping off family members on the way. Made for a long day.

Sue - I was waiving at you from Riverside and Delanco. I know your very close nearby.

Emily - good for you getting the t-shirt. I always enjoy anything "free"

Jeanna - good advice from Sue (the jungle queen, lol) As I posted the other day, check out that board - it's got wonderful information. You might find some very helpful things or at least to know your not alone in that area either.

Marianni - I'm glad to hear you get to take MIL out today. Was it her birthday? I forget - maybe just a simple outing go get out of the house? Either way - enjoy!!

Margo - did you get your dress yet???

Bkft: 1 slice whole wheat toast w/1tsp butter & coffee
Snack: too many graham crackers. I love them and over did it.
Lunch: salad (planning on a salad)
Dinner: shrimp with veggie or green salad on the side.

Last night friends from DH's work came over and picked up a trampoline we were giving them. It was given to us 5 or 6 yrs ago and DD no longer uses it. So we're passing it forward. It was still in good shape and very bouncy yet. So their girls will enjoy it. And DH and I won't have to drag it around trying to mow the yard! It ws always in the way. LOL

Take care - I'l check in later....oh here comes the sun - quick where's my bathing suit?????

Morning to you all!!!

Way to go Emily!!!!!!

Everyone sounds upbeat and OP. I fit right in. I have been OP for days now and feeling great about it. I even joined Curves (rejoined after 1 year lapse) yesterday and did workout #1. Taking it easy though, still recovering from surgery but feeling great. I don't know what is going on that I am so OP but I am grateful. Hope everyone has a great day too!!!

Staying OP Saturday July 8th

This morning at Curves, I had a revelation. While counting my pulse rate, I noticed that I got up to a much higher level than I ever do when I go to Curves in the evening. I figured it was because it was earlier in the day and I am not as tired as I am at 5. Then after I thought about it some more, I realized that I stopped losing weight(mostly) and some inches after I stopped going to Curves in the morning. Could it be because I don't get my heart rate up enough to make a difference???????? Does this make sense? Anyone?????? Maybe I need to go back to Curves in the AM again..............

((((Emily)))) You might be on to something I know that when I exercise in the morning, I work a lot harder at it.... probably because I'm more allert and not as tired. When I go at noon or in the evening, I also tend to watch the clock a lot more and to be easily distracted. Furthermore, there are a lot more people at my Curves at noon and after work than in the morning... so that means more chatting ... and less working
