constant ovarian cysts??
hi ladies....i am 6 months out from my tah...after a very lengthy recovery,2 additional surgeries, and my incision is still not completley gone,i found myself in the er last in very bad pain in my lower left abdomin....a cat scan shows i have 5 cysts on my left ovary, the biggest being the size of a baseball, and 3 on my right ovary....im very irritated with this,as i have dealt with cysts since i was 16,and im tired of the pain!i do not remember one single ultra sound(and i have had a zillion)or one single cat scan done, where it hasnt shown at least one cyst...i wanted my doc to take my ovaries when he did my hyst, but since my complex cyst didnt appear cancerous,he did not want to remove my ovaries because of my age...doesnt there come a time when one has to say,ok,you may be young, but your in pain ALL THE TIME,and theres no need for it??is there a reason why a woman would develope cysts over and over and over, and have multiple cysts at one time??im really not sure where to go,or what to do from here, since the expierence with my tah,and the after complications, and additional surgeries,im terrified to have surgery again, but im sure sick of this type of pain....anyone been in the same situation???sonie

constant ovarian cysts??
 s Sonie
I am so sorry to hear of the pain you are experiencing so soon after your TAH. You must be devastated.
why not find another Dr. for another opinion? No one should have to live in this type of pain. It would be different if these cysts only occurred once or twice, but not to the extent you are dealing with them.
I will keep you in my that everything works out for you. Please keep us posted on how things go.

constant ovarian cysts??
Sonie,
I can relate... I had a cyst explode 10 years ago on my rt ovary... it almost cost me my life, bleeding to death internally. Now 10 years later, I had the hyst and when I was in surgery my rt ovary had another cyst on it and some how during surgery it just disinagrated... well here I am with both ovaries because of my age too. And I am sure that some day, I will be back in there having to have some more surgery to remove them. I feel pretty good so far after surgery, however once in a while I feel aches in the rt side...
Big hugs to us ovary problem gals.....
Lisa
