Water, Water Everwhere!!!! Not Fair!

Hi everyone,

I need to vent a second.

It was about 105 degrees in Long Island, NY today.

I stayed cool. Wore a swimsuit top and a skirt all day.
Chucked the undies cause they were driving me nuts!!!
:wowee:

My gripe at the moment is this:

Everytime I look out my windows or go out and sit on my patio I have to see my blue sparkling pool and my jacuzzi and I CAN'T GO IN EITHER!!!
That stinks!

I was so tempted to duct tape any openings and so for a dip, BUT I did not!

My 2 DD were swimming and floating around the pool all day, while I was in and out putting ice cubes in my cats dish and chatting with them.

I'm glad they got to stay cool in the pool.

It's day 15 post op, stinks I have to wait weeks to swim!! I'm not a happy camper, just a couch potato!!!

Okay, thanks, done. I had to tell someone!!!

Liz

LOL! As a TVH sister, I don't think duct taping any openings sounds very good, even if it does mean getting in the pool. It will all be better soon!!!!!

You are allowed to put your feet and legs in, just not your bottom. Can you sit and dangle in the water?
I know how you feel. My hysterectomy was last July and I couldn't go in my pool either. We have an above ground pool and I couldn't manage dangling my legs from the ladder. So, I sat in my chaise lounge under a big tree with a squirt bottle of cold water. Not quite the same as the pool but I managed!
Keep cool sister!!

being patient is hard! Hang in there, use this time to do all the projects like picture albums, christmas cards, recipes etc... I read 12 books in the first 2 weeks!!!

can you just hang your legs over the side of the pool and try and get some relief? I would think that would even feel pretty good on a 105 degree day.

Yes, it took about 10 seconds to realize how horrible it would be to take the tape off!!!!

That is exactly what I did over the weekend! I love my squirt bottle, I keep it in a large styrofoam cup with ice.

Thanks, yes, I have finally begun reading again!!
I'm a bit scared to tackle the photo project but it's gotta be done and I thought maybe I'd get it started during recovery, but haven't yet. I just have soooo many pictures.

That would make it way to tempting to me. I just stayed inside in the AC and watched General Hospital in the afternoon and took a nap.
