I'm officially panicking!

I just had my preop physical and my hospital preop is on Monday. How did it sneak up so fast? I'm so not ready for this! Trying to focus on the results.

I'm officially panicking!

Ellie,
I totally feel your panic. When I went to the my doctor at the beginning of July to set my hysterectomy date I had a massive panic attack. My bf almost made me pull over so he could take over the driving for me. My heart was racing and I was practically hyperventillating and I felt like I could explode from panic.
My pre-op physical is on August 1st and I'm already freaking out for that. I am seriously considering talking to my doc about having someone give me a sedative as soon as I step foot in the hospital for the surgery, otherwise I could very easily forsee a major meltdown.
It's really good that you're trying to keep focused on the end results. You will feel better, but for now it's ok to panic.

I'm officially panicking!

I had my pre-op yesterday and my surgery is next Thursday. I just got my last visit from Aunt Flo this morning, and all of a sudden I remembered how thrilled I will be when this is all over. No more pain, massive bleeding and blood clots, and no more ruined clothing.

Hang in there, it is not going to be as bad as you think, and any pain that we endure will certainly be worth it in the end.

I'm officially panicking!

Hi Ladies,
I am feeling the exact same way. One day I am totally fine with it, and the next I can feel my heart racing ..... (Today is one of those days for me!) My pre-op is July 26th and my surgery is August 2nd. Am so nervous about the surgery... Sometimes I don't think I am going to be able to do it. I have seconds thoughts about it a lot, but only because I am scared. I am supposed to have an LAVH and hope that all goes well for all of us . I pray for each and every princess as her date approaches.... I think I need to find something to keep me busy.... Oh well, what can ya do............

All of us August girls are gonna have to keep in touch.... That always happens to me. I know deep down inside that we are all gonna be okay, but on the other hand I don't like to take things for granted. Womens emotions ***** sometimes... lol

I'm officially panicking!

So the back and forth mood stuff is normal. WHEW!! My surgery is July 31 and I will have an abdominal incision and a full hysterectomy with both overies because of cysts on my right one. I have been reading books-reading through this web site and find that I too go through times when things are fine and then there are times when panic sets in, you know the "what ifs". I am already planning on borrowing my son's lap top to use in the hospital on the 2nd day-I know I will be out of the first day and will be moving my computer in the livingroom near my recover area. This web site is a God send to help walk through this whole process. I do better knowing what to expect and hearing from other ladies who have been there and done that!

Hello Ladies in Waiting!! Hugs to you all, and remember we are here for you before and after your trip to the Castle. I'll bet my last that there isn't a post-op sister that didn't have the same fears and questions that all of you have. Just remember that you can ask your doctors any question that you have, and if you don't understand the information/explaination, ask again. There are so many articles here at HysterSisters that are very helpful. Keep checking in and supporting one another. I wish I would have had just one Hystersister to talk to before my surgery, and now I am blessed with Hundreds of Princesses and Ladies in Waiting. ,

I'm officially panicking!

I was fortunate enough to be such a crying mess that the anesthesiologists knocked me out before I ever got to the OR! I love them for that!!! Had they not....I would have run out of the hospital in my gown with my bare a## hanging out!!! They only said...we're going to give you something to calm you down a little...next thing I knew, I was waking up from surgery. Did I mention I love them for that?
