I understand what you are going through. I had 3 friend find out that they were pregnant right after my surgery. I also cryed about it. I think that most women go through this. It is hard to realize you will never have a child or another child. Im in my 4th month and it still hurts see someone pregnant or a baby. Try to hang in there, I wish I could say it would get easier but I still have those feelings.

I moved you over here to our Aching Hearts forum where others such as yourself are experiencing sadness and loss from this surgery.

It is not uncommon to feel this way and you are going through a grieving process, and that is okay.

I am sending lot's of s your way. You are not alone here and you are among sisters who understand.

I'm sorry. I can only imagine what you are going through.

I'm concerned about your despression issue. I know you have a good reason to feel depressed, but depression can rob you of years of life.

Please don't let cronic depression go untreated for a long period of time. The longer it goes on, the more difficult it is to get your life back. Im not saying you nessarily need anti-depressants, I'm saying you may need to learn some tools that can help "you live" with your loss.

My prayers are with you.

thank you sisters for your prayers and support. i talked to my doctor about my depression and he told me that i would be ok, he wasnt very sensitive about my issues. i will just be happy when i feel better but as long as they are throwing it in my face everyday that they are pregnant and so excited i cant get over it. i did actual talk to one of my so called friends about it and she told me that i was jealous and envious of them. maybe i am but normally i am not a jealous or envious person. thanks again for the replies.

thank you karole. yes i have 2 children a 13 year old son and a 9 year old daughter but i do not have a child with my husband which i believe that is the real cause of my depression. i told my doctor how i felt but he didnt seem to care and no he did not prescribe me anything. i am 34 years old i was 33 when i had my surgery. as long as i am not around my sister-in-laws i am fine but the minute i see them i just go to pieces. i guess in time this will pass. thanks again for the reply.

I so know where you are at!

I had a total hysterectomy, except i have one ovary left. Feeling incredibly depressed and along. I also have a husband who says i should be over it by now. My surgery was 03/4/2006. I am 40 and have two boys. But no support. At my max for antidepressant. Have you tried any, the problems are still there but it takes the edge off. Wish you luck.

My 1st marriage was so abusive, I had my tubes tied, because I didn't want to risk having anymore children "with him".

My Daughters were 4 & 5 when "we married" DH (Johnny).

Johnny & I have been married for over 20 years now. We never had a pregnancy together, but we certainly had children together. My Daughters couldn't have asked for a better Dad.

I often asked him if we should have a child together, try in vitro. He would always responde the same.... Don't we have enough? Now we have 4 Grandchildren and they are all crazy about "Papa".

I hope in time you will learn to embrace all the babies in your family because, beleive it or not, they will help fill that hole you are feeling.

Cindy
