1 year and feel like 1 month

Hello all. I have a question for anyone who has had a LSH. I had my LSH on August 24th of 2005. Have healed other than belly button pain and that is about it. But this morning when I got up, I felt like I did a couple weeks to a month after surgery. Has anyone else had this happen. I healed really fast. Got back to life really fast. But did not push it. Or at least not too much. But why do I feel this way almost a complete year later? Can anyone shed some light on this? I would appreciate it.

Hi ConnieK,

I too had a LSH. Maybe I could ask what you are feeling like?? Symptoms?? It might make it easier for us ladies to reply.

Thanks!!

I'm sorry. I feel crampy, tired, stomache feels blah, pain in belly. Washed my car last night like I have done numerous times this summer and not had a problem. Maybe it is just close to that time of the month. Don't have a period on a regular basis any more so hard to keep track. Feel hungry. This morning I was so swollen I had to get out my old surgery jeans.

Me too

9 months post LSH (kept ovaries and cervix)

I had to log in cuz I have been perplexed in the way I have been feeling lately. Loving the no-period deal and all the angst that went with it....love it, love it, love it!! AND have been feeling 200% better!

I used to feel myself ovulate and that went away, but at around month 7 it has slowly been coming back (really enjoyed not feeling the sharp pain while "blowing an egg" - so I am a little sad about it coming back(ying-yang)). BUT my complaint is I have had total bloated belly for about 3 weeks now and it seems like the ovaries have been making up for lost time, as they have been screaming at me.

That all went away with the surgery - and I didn't miss it, so I am concerned that the bloat ("swelly Belly") is reappearing. Maybe its salt or excessive drinking (cuz I was on vacation w/o exercise and moved away from my normal life). Gonna try that approach - cut back on salt and increase exercise!! Any other suggestions welcomed.

Gotta tell ya -when your life doesn't have that kind of pain in it you really notice how wonderful life can be, and when it comes back you wonder how we were able to be civil.

I also just smacked my belly button pretty hard, while I was showing off on the diving board. (Old lady trying to compete with the younger generation.....lesson learned), so now I have belly button pain.

(Hi Mary (historylady) I think of ya a lot - YOU ROCK!)
