Almost a year post op and painfull ovaries...

I had a TAH almost a year ago. I had painfull ovulation prior to my hyster. Quite bad at times... but it seems since my hyster each month is getting worse. I have ovulation pain, and then off and on for 2 wks after wards my ovaries hurt real bad. My doc is sending me in for a ultrasound of my ovaries on Aug 22nd, but im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?? During my hyter my ovaries looked fine. I have had problems in the past with cysts on them, but his pain feels just like my ovulation pain...?!

I have been having similar problems and just posted a question yesterday about swelly belly and stuff returning after almost a year. Of course got no responses. But a couple months ago my doc did an ultrasound and found that I was ovulating and it was causing quite a bit of pain, gave me pain pills. Good luck and I hope all works out well for you. Keep us posted.

I know your pain! I had a LAVH done on 6/2/05 I had bad cramping then but it was the irregular periods and when I did the heavy bleeding that made me get mine done. I had a bad episode 4 months ago they checked ovaries said they looked fine. Now its 2 weeks every month one minute I am fine the next I can't walk or function the pain is so bad! Doctor finally said they have to come out! I am scheduled on August 15th and once again scared to death. The good thing is no more pain hopefully and recovery time is half. I also at the same time this started acting up an acute flair up of diverticulits and they removed 5 precancerous pollups. They were hoping that was the pain so was I but the pain is still here and the colon is healing and no signs of any problems anymore! Good luck keep me posted just remember WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR NOT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
