Prolapse of the urethra after 3 1/2 months

I had my hyserectomy in April and have had no problems up until three weeks ago. I started to suffer with incontinence. I visited the doctors today and was told I have had a prolapse of the urethra. He has refered me to a specialist.
Has anybody else had this problem and if so what was the cure! I am very scared because I really don't think I can cope with another operation!

Prolapse of the urethra after 3 1/2 months

hi it's ok,i know your scared, but i have had it 3 times, and the first was after having my 2nd child,i passed kidneystones also at the same time, and got a severe kidney infection because of it!all they do is reopen the uretha, they always numb you there,it is just a little more uncomfortable than a cathader,in my case 2 times they used a device that started out really tiny and would insert them into the uretha and graduly build up to the size they felt nesecary(numbing each one as they went along) and the last one i had they used only one device that was tiny at one end and got larger as it went in.my dr. in md,was awesome he gave me something to relax me,and told me to take one of my pain meds prior to coming in.(make sure if you do take anything you have someone to drive you) and then also before the procedure he numbed it with like a i think its called laticane jelly or something like that, and then waited and did it again, because i told him about my first time being really bad.. so i would just ask the dr.if they can give you something to calm you down because you are scared and to please make sure you can't feel it,and just a little inside info,i would take some uristat or something like that before you get there because it burns the first time you urinate, and for some reason as soon as they do it you have to go right away,or at least that's how i was!!and the uristat makes that part better!!
you'll be ok just send me a message if you need me!!:-)
ALL OF THIS IS JUST MY OWN EXPERENCE!!BY NO MEANS IS IT MEDICAL ADVICE!!
