whats sex like afterwards?

i am due for a hyst in sept. i am hopefully keeping my ovaries.but having my cervix taken.when i recover ,will i still want to have rumpy pumpy? will sex be easier ,due to lack of pain. will i still get moist (red face) will i still want to swing from the diamond chandlier in my living room,naked apart from a pair of red fluffy panties and a superwoman cape.......just joking .seriously now,after time does it get to a reasonable standard. i am 42..this site is a gr8 help to me to all

Dollydaydream- That was one of the funniest things I have read here! Rumpy Pumpy and red fluffy panties AND a cape swinging from the light! I can't answer any of your questions because I haven't been released to have sex yet, but DH and I have done some chandelier swinging and all but the main rumpy pumpy and up to this point it is great and I still want to - had ovaries and cervix removed - and it doesn't hurt when I have the big O like it used to - All I'm saying is even if you don't really want it get your fill before hand because you are going to be wanting it after and can't have it!!!

I can't answer your question as haven't had my hyst done yet, but I noticed that you are scheduled for 12 September and I'm having mine done the day earlier on 11th and as we both live in the UK, perhaps we can swap notes after our operation? I am also keeping my ovaries, but don't know about my cervix. I have got an appointment at the hospital on 13 August where I can look round the ward, find out exactly what is happening and get to ask questions, so will hopefully be a bit more informed after that.

Happy to report that sex is as good if not better after. Kept ovaries but not cervix (my choice) and I am still moist (when required) and now available every day of the month without having to check first!
I actually feel more inclined towards chandelier swinging now as I' m not worried I'm going to start bleeding at any moment.
The 6 weeks waiting to see if the equipment was still working was not much fun tho' altho' we did try the 'outercourse' suggested on this site!! lol

I am almost 5 months post op and sex is soooooooo much better. We were really scared that things would be different. Because they were so perfect before but now WOWWEE good luck it truly has been the best thing I have ever done for myself I wont lie it was not an easy recovery but take it slow and listen to your body and you will do great.

Sex is better for me as I used to experience pain on my left side. So, don't worry too much. Use a positive attitude. I have read that many women loose their sex drive. In the beginning, that happened to me. I meditated and refused to allow myself to succumb to it. Today, I am back to normal and more importantly....pain free.
