thank you card

I have a appt tomorrow with my surgeon for my 6 week check-up. This is a stupid question, but i would like to give him a thank-you card. anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions on what i should write. he was very good, he filled out my disability papers a month before my surgery, when i was asked who my surgeon was by poeple, i heard nothing but good things about him. i just wanted to let him know he was appreciated.

thank you card

I sent my doctor and his nurse a thank you card a couple of months ago. I wanted to let them know that them and their whole office was appreciated. I think it's important in this day and age to say thank you for good care because it is NOT the norm, unfortunately. Just say what you feel and he will appreciate it!

thank you card

I know for sure that Hallmark cards sells a "thank you to my dr" card. It has a lovely verse inside. I have always thanked them for the personal care and attention. Making me feel like the only patient, when I was the 20th one for the day. I tell them what my heart feels like saying.

thank you card

I handed my gyn/onc a hand written thank you at my one week check up. He seemed to be happy to get it. I am normally not the best at things like giving cards ...I usually try to just say "it." But, a suggestion to give a card was here a while back, timely enough for me to act upon it. Thanks!!! The only thing is that I was soooooo "out of it" at the time I wrote the thank you card I have no idea of what I wrote, or what I rambled about!

I also made a necklace for the resident/graduate student gyn doctor that was assigned to me (or me to her). Somebody had given me a fluorite tumbled stone, which they told me was for healing the cancer in my uterus. I took that stone and made a polymer clay pendant for this doc and dropped it off for her at my 5 week checkup. Apparently this was the day she graduated her residency and as of that day was no longer at this clinic, so I left it for her and just hope she received it when she came back to clean out her desk.

I agree with otessa that good care is not the norm these days, or at least it hasn't been in my experience, so for me not to say thanks would have been real crime!

thank you card

I gave my doc one on the day of my surgery..I thanked her for listening to me and believing me and for showing me that my pain and anguish was "real". Ialso added a Starbucks card to buy her a cup of coffee so she wouldn't fall asleep during surgery. She got a kick out of it and showed everyone in the pre op room.

thank you card

Hi, I am so glad that I read this !!! ( I hope that I am posting this the right way, this is the first time). Thank you all, so much. I was wondering the same thing. I just love this site....I never thought I would find the answer to this question here. I go in next week for my 2-wk post op appt. I bought the card and wasn't sure if I should take it along or not. Now, I am going to. Thanks again for your help.

thank you card

I'm a nurse at a Pediatric office and I can tell you all that a simple card or a sincere thank you is most appreciated by the Docs. We have all our cards hanging on a board in our lunch room. When I'm having a rough day and wonder why the heck I'm doing this, just re-reading one of those cards lets me know I have touched someone's life positively. Send those cards, all Drs need a pat on the back for a job well done!

thank you card

At my 2 week check up I gave my dr. a HysterSisters mug filled with candy (some regular and some suger-free). At my 6 months appointment he told me he has checked out this site and was very impressed (of course). He plans to let his other pt's know about it!!
