Menopause but still have ovary!

I'd like to hear from others who started menopause after having a hysterectomy which left one ovary. I just found out that I am in menopause and was placed on Premarin 2 days ago. Honestly- I was sad at first because 40 seems too young to me, but now I couldn't be happier! Now I know why I have been SOOOO moody and waking up sweating every night.
I am a third grade teacher and school begins on the 23rd. If anyone has advice for feeling good and keeping energy levels up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Menopause but still have ovary!

You may feel a whole lot better once you have been on hrt longer, it sometimes takes up to 4 weeks to get the full effects of your hrt.

I am on hrt and take a multivitamin, calcium with D, vitamin B-complex, flaxseed oil, vitamin C, magnesium, , vitamin E.

You may have more energy by getting at least 7 hrs. sleep every night, some exercise a couple of times a week, and eating a healthy diet cutting out sugar, and white carbs. I found that after my hyst I was very tired after eating white carbs and sugar. I eat fruits, veggies, protien, and whole grains.

I have yet to find any herbs that would give me energy.

I hope this helps some.
