below normal temp?

I had LAVH on 7/28 --everything seems to be normal according to info I've learned from all of you dear ladies ....but, for the last couple of days my temp has been fluctuating from 96.3 to 97.7 (it only raises after a hot shower, or going outside in our 100+ degree Kansas weather) Does anybody have any ideas why I have a low temp? or, anybody else have the same thing?

Of course, my suggestion as always is to have your thyroid checked. Basal temp on a hypothyroid person is sometimes lower than what is considered to be normal. A real gauge of temperature is in the morning, in bed, before any physical movement. I guess a reading from under the armpit is acceptable as an accurate temp reading. But as always, if there is a question, you need to call your doctor. Best to ya!

I have had also had a low temp. since surgery. I asked my Dr. about it and he said that its nothing to worry about only to worry if it runs high. Even almost 4 weeks post-op I still barely hit 98.0.
