TAH 8/23 Grumpy!!!!

I'm scheduled for Tah on 8/21 and I don't know what is wrong with me. I am very grumpy and I mean very, very grumpy. I feel very intolerant of the tiniest things that I would normally let slide. Boyfriend uncaring, I couldn't put my vacumn cleaner together because son "borrowed" the **** phillip's screwdriver, telemarketer woke me up, can't sleep, nasty nightmares, hot and cold, back pain, blah blah etc. etc.
Sorry, feel a little better now. This site is better than having a diary when i was a teenager.I know logically that this is just natural stress, but I feel like I have pms to the 100th degree. I would like to break something, but then I would have to fix it or buy another. Xanax takes a little of the edge off, but not much. I apologize for ranting and raving, but I am just really mad about losing control of my emotions. Grrr.

TAH 8/23 Grumpy!!!!

I know the feeling....seems the smallest thing sets me off, too! I blame it on pain and just a general feeling of crappiness. Just keep your head up, you're almost there!

Goober, I felt the same way - it is very stressful preparing for the surgery and knowing you are going to have it. Again it is that old thing - believe it or not you are completely normal! You will be in my prayers and thoughts. I ran the saying 'be calm' through my head over and over.

TAH 8/23 Grumpy!!!!

Waiting really is the hardest part. I wasn't very uptight until my pre-op which was 3 days before the procedure. I slept poorly that night and was exhausted the next day. I got a good night's sleep after that and was fine up to and following the surgery.

It's normal to be anxious, irritable, etc. while you're waiting. The more you can accept that, the easier it is to deal with and the better you feel.

I hope you feel better soon.

Goober,I know how you feel,it's happened to me quite often. My first surgery date was cancelled so I'm waiting...again! But this is such an important moment of our live's,I think we deserve to be able to rant and rave and be grumpy when we want!! Hang in there,it will be here and gone before we know it.We will make it,take care.

TAH 8/23 Grumpy!!!!

I totally understand also..........I went thru a few days there where anger was "ALL" I could feel........ (found ... pounding out chicken breasts for dinner, to be very helpful...THIN..but, helpful..lol)

For myself, it reminded me of the "Grief" cycle. I have been widowed
twice in my life....so know the Cycly very well. I did go thru denial at first, anger is also part of it......then we work our way to acceptance....... (yeah, right..lol)

Anyway........just my

Hope you get to feeling better......Mine is 8-22
