patch vs. premarin

Hi Ladies,
I'm at almost 3 mos. post TAH-BSO. I started out on the climara 0.1 mg patch. It, for some reason, wouldn't stay stuck to me for the whole week so the doc switched me to estraderm 0.1 mg patch which is a twice a week. Again, it ends up coming loose before it's time for it to be changed. I've tried every spot imaginable and it just doesn't like my skin (makes me itch a little too). I just started premarin .625 mg today. I was wondering if anyone else had gone from patch to pill. I've had great results from the patch if I could just get it to stay stuck and not be itchy. I'm wondering if there will be a major difference with the premarin. I don't want to start flashing. I know my female co-workers would be ecstatic if I had hot flashes. I'm freezing most of the time while they melt. Any info would be appreciated. Got my fingers crossed!

patch vs. premarin

I switched from climara to premarin myself. I was using .1mg climara and now I'm using premarin .625mg twice a day. I was having the same problems you were having with the climara.

I haven't had any problems with hot flashes, night sweats, or sleeping.

I feel quite good on premarin. I made the mistake early on taking both pills in the am. I got stomach aches and diarrehia. Since I started taking one pill in the am and one pm I have been fine.

If you get hot flashes etc let your doctor know so he/she can up your dosage.

Best of luck
