Internal Stitches Burning?!?

Help! I'm 3 wks post-op TAH tomorrow. So I turned over in bed last night and was awakend by excrutiating burning behind my skin to the left of my belly button! Feels like stitches burning. Has anybody else experienced that? Did I stretch or bust something? Could turning over in bed be harmful? Also, whenever I get up from a sitting or lying position, I still feel like I have to give everything a second or two to "settle" due to gravity. Is this normal 3 wks out????

Internal Stitches Burning?!?

I have felt my internal stitches itching since the surgery, and it drives me nuts. Thank God I don't have any external ones (steri strips) so that incision shouldn't be too bad. Yikes.....the internal stuff is maddening. I wish I had an answer for you, did you ask your Doc?

I have the same feeling about letting everything settle when I get up, especially in the morning. It's better now than the first few days post-op, but still there. I just have to keep remembering that there was a lot of trauma in there and it has to heal in it's own time. My biggest problem is my own impatience.

Internal Stitches Burning?!?

In a strange way, I am glad to know I am not alone, yet would not wish this on anybody! I think since I am not due to see the doc until one-month post-op, I will give them a call tomorrow with an update how I'm feeling...just to make sure everything that is happening is normal!
Thank you for the responses so far!
