And now its Urinary Tract Infections

Hi Everyone,
I am scheduled for TVH on 10/10/06. I am 42 had a hysteroscopy done almost 2 years ago, endo ablation done 12 months ago due to heavy periods, didn't stop it so had two Lupron shots, then birth control to no avail. Oh, almost forgot hormonal migraines like to join in too. Needless to say I am excited to have the surgery and put an end to all of this. Now, am having problems with UTI's. Never, Never had them before. Don't know what is causing them. Even wondered if it was due to taking a bath to shave legs, although I have done that for 41 years with no problems. Has anyone heard of pre-menopause and the change in hormones causing them?
Any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated !

Sorry, I can't tell you what is causing them for sure, but there seems to be a common corrolation between people with endo and urinary problems, but yours could be due to something else completely.
I am prone to them, I get a few a year. The way I try to combat them is with cranberry juice/capsules daily, yogurt, peeing after sex, everytime, and washing up as soon as possible after sex. Of course the old rule of wipeing front to back and never back to front. And staying hydrated.
