Not so bad! 1 week in recovery

I am a little over a week. I am the biggest baby in the world. I have pain but nothing that I can't handle with out medication. I read everything before I went in and thought oh my god. You are never going to be able to handle this. I can handle this and everything that happen except for a morning on the second day when I woke up with horrible gas pains wainting to throw up and passing out. It was one hour treated with medication and it passed. The only problem I have had is gas pains and constipation. If i knew that is what I would have to face I wouldn't have worried myself into a panic attack in the 2 weeks before. I just wanted eveyone to know not everyone has a horror story and the waiting is the worst!

I just wanted everyone to know that usually I can't handle anything. My cut is 8 inches and I had a total hysterectomy which I did not sign up for. Mr doctor found that I had so much scare tissue and all my uterus and tubes and overlies where joined together. She said she never seen anything like it and I should have had it done years ago. I am fine. I am watching what I do and nothing can compare to the fear I had in the two weeks before the surgery. The waiting was the most fearful part. I stayed on valium the whole 3 days before and all with way to the hospital.

As you know the waiting is the worst...it gives your imagination LOTS of time to run amuk.

Hearing "it's not so bad", means the WORLD to me.
Esp if you weren't anticipating a TAH.
