This is a hot topic.

Yes, I have the same thing. DR told me it could take up to a year to fully go away. I'm at 3 mos now and it's going away, slowly.

I have heard some warm moist compresses help, but I've not tried it.

Wishing you well.

yah the pain can be severe sometimes especially when u r trying to support your body when getting up from wherever. I hope it isn't a year til it clears up. my vein is protruding also around the right side of my wrist and on top of my hand. what a pain, literally.lol. i have tried the warm compresses and heating pads ect but nothing really seems to help but the ibuprofen does help a bit. doc said take at least 1 a day for the clots. If you find out anything let me know. thanks. And also the doc said if it is not better in the next 4 wks they may consider therapy, just what i want to do after tah right.

Hi

They're not blood clots - they're inflamed areas of vein (phlebitis). If you do a forum search, you'll find loads of posts on the subject. I had an enormous lump, at the IV site, which took about 3-4 months to resolve itself.

They do take a while to disappear, but will disappear eventually.
