Had my six week check today and doc checked and said i still have to wait anouther 10 days to resume activity. The going to work part is great but i would really like to get my house cleaned the way i like it and anouther ten days without no sex oh well i will just relaxe and enjoy the rest of the summer at least everything is healing well with no complications thats a plus.

I had a 5 week check today. The doc said no work for at least 2 more weeks. No sex for at least another 4 WEEKS !!! I'm with you on the relax and enjoy the rest of summer....I'd rather do that than have complications.

The 10 days may not be a bad idea. I am 6 weeks today - and I tried to clean my house today. (All except for running the Hoover.) I am so tired AND I am in so much pain that I was grateful to have some Vicodin left over!

As for sex - since you know that you're "good to go" in 10 days - you can plan a nice romantic evening.

When the dr says back to normal they mean back to normal but take it slowly. Internal healing takes an average of 12 weeks or so. You need to avoid all but light housework for much longer or you will risk causing internal problems.

Take care and relax.

a little disappointed

Hello Ladies I am approx 5 weeks post-op(TAH/BSO) and I must say I think I am extremly lucky I have had no major complications and my dr ok'd me to work 3-5 hrs (depending on how I feel, I have a desk job) I feel great of course I am not doing any heavy lifting, no housework DH & DD is still doing all of that..This has been the greatest thing I could have done to improve my life; hopefully the sex will be great again to once I get the ok for that which I have to wait another 3 weeks. I wish everyone could have such a positive and non-complicated experience like me. Good luck ladies and many blessings to all of you....
