In Hospital or Post Hospital time off?

Which is more important--that my dh take time off to be with me in the hospital, or afterwards? I go in a week from today. He was going to take off Tue-Friday and I'm not getting out until Friday. I hate to tell him to NOT take off while I'm in the hospital. He was very helpful for me when I had my spinal surgery--I was too out of it to even bother to press my pain button the first day and he pressed it for me and it was great to have him there.

In Hospital or Post Hospital time off?

After the day of the surgery, my partner would come and visit early in the morning and then in the evening after work. That worked out fine. AFter I was home I was more needy - no nurses to come when I pressed the button. Good luck!

In Hospital or Post Hospital time off?

That's actually a good idea. My dh works 1.5 hours away from the hospital, but I'm going to suggest it anyway. Thanks.

I was so out of it in the hospital that I barely remember my DH visiting me. I also spent a lot of time sleeping in the hospital, too.

I really valued my DH being around the first few days when I got home from the hospital.
