No regrets about ablation

I had an ablation 2000. My Gyn called it a Thermal Balloon Ablation. It worked great. I had constant bleeding for 3 months prior to the surgery. Afterwords, I had light spotting for about 6 weeks and no bleeding at all since then. Unfortunately, I have since had some major ovarian issues. The ovaries had to go! Since I had so many problems in the past (4 D&C's for polyps etc) before the ablation, my Dr and I decided it was best to take it all. Since my early 20's, I had some kind of gynecological suregery every 5 years. I surely did not want to go in for an oophorectomy now and have to go back in a few years to take everything else. The ablation is a lot less invasive than the hysterectomy. I never regretted my decision to have it done.
