patches or pills

Hi!

Well, I've done well on pills, patches, and also on compounded estrogen cream. The best one is the one which works best for you, and the only way to know that is to try them and see.

My preference is to use transdermal methods such as the patches and creams to bypass the liver. Plus, I really don't like taking pills.

Good luck in your search for the best hormone therapy for you!

patches or pills

Personal preference...I have tried pills and patch and found that the patch was best for me. I had quite a few side effects on the pills and never felt I was processing them properly, so preferred something bypassing the liver.

patches or pills

My doctor recommended the vivelle patch right from the start, mainly because she said the liver doesn't have to process it the way a pill does. I find the patch to be very easy to use, I really don't have any complaints. Sometimes it does itch a little and then I'll just move it to a different place on my belly! It is extremely small, like a little piece of scotch tape. See what your dr. recommends and what you think would be best for you. I admit, I was hesitant at first, to use the patch, just because I am more used to medicine in "pill" form and was concerned the patch wouldn't stay in place, but like I said, no problems! zanylynn
