Premarin

My Dr put me on premarin today. He said it has something in it that will help me poop. I do have hot flashes but nothing that really bothers me. Although I cannot stay outside in the heat or sleep without an AC. This has been since the TAH BSO. He still thinks the Zelnorm will clean out my colon, I have been on that drug for two weeks now and still can't poop without an enmea. He said that drug takes awhile to work. I am still having my colon tested though. He says that is fine do it if you like everyone should once you turn 50, I am 47. I leave for vacation tomorrow I have an emena in me now. does anyone here take premarin? what does it do for you?

I have never heard of premarin for that. It is an estrogen.

I took it. It didn't do anything for helping me poop so to speak. I had some side effects from it so I stopped it. But, I won't get into those.

It will help you with your hot flashes though.

In the past few days I remember a very prominent news story on CNN and my local news that Premarin has been definitely linked to breast cancer and lawsuits are being filed. I hope I'm not misspeaking here, but I'd check into this a little further. I definitely can't understand why your doc would give you Premarin to help you poop. It's a hormone replacement therapy, hrt.

I had never heard that..I took it for 8 months..I quit it about 3 weeks now..I was haveing muscle aches...and hurting..My mom took it years ago and she had a stroke 2 years back and they are linking it to premarin......that made me quit to.my muscles feel better and not to many hot flashes...sleep is a little here and there..but no more premarin..i have never hear it used to make you poop.........LoL.....but to each its own do a little research on it..i did!! Thank you ladies I knew you would have the answer I needed. I can stand my hot flashes, and I don't know why he thought it would help me poop. I took one pill and I won't take another. Cancer runs on my Father's side. I will just stay with the zelnorm and hope it works soon.
