COMPLICATIONS!!! I am sad and angry and... feeling crazy!

Hi Precious, I'm glad you went to the hospital you went to for the e-coli and that they knew what you had and that they saved your life and kidneys. I can't imagine anything more awful than what you've just been through and am also glad you have three doctors looking after you. It sounds like you are their prized patient and that they'll be there for you. And we sisters will be too. I am glad you found this website as these sisters will be a well of support for you always. Much love, Asta

Trish
I am so happy to hear you're getting better.
You have been blessed and this will be a life changing event for you. You will look at life a little differently now and you will appreciate the little things more.

Most nurses appreciate anything a patient does for them. We love bakery goods, flowers, or chocolate. Just a loving note will make their day. Or, you could just call and ask them what they would prefer. Writing a note to the CEO of the hospital would really be nice too!

Remember, they do this job everyday and when their patients improve and get to go home is really all the reward they need.

But you giving them a little something will just make their day!!

Hope that helps. . .

Keep in touch, let me know how you're doing.

Hi Trish, I am so sorry this happened to you. It sounds as though you have good, trustworthy Drs looking out for your well being. I had pretty much the same ordeal as you. When my Dr told me I needed to see an infectious Dr I cried the ugly cry. I promise you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will feel better soon. No apologies needed for a long post. We are all here to help each other whether the problem is big or small. Hang in there and take care! Melanie

I am so sorry for all that you went through. You are very brave, actually. If you weren't mad about it, something would be wrong with you.It made me mad just to hear it! I will kept you in my thoughts.Thank you for something else too, making me feel less sorry for all that I went through at age 51! You sound like you have good Dr's now in your corner, helping you recover.

Trish,

So sorry you had to go through all of this. Glad you are on the upswing. Take care of yourself and take it slow. Your body has been through a lot and it will take you a while to be feeling back to normal.

Hey, Trish

I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I'm a nurse as well and decided to throw my 2 cents worth in. A thank you card is wonderful and more than enough. Usually all we hear is the griping from both patients and family. Of course, is always a nice thing
