day and night sweats

Hi,
I had my TAH in April and was put on Climara 0.06mg patch. That got increased to 0.1mg. The past month the hot flashes increased so last week I was changed to Junel 1/120 pill. Now I'm having constant sweats day and night. Its driving me crazy! Does anyone have any ideas of how I can stay cool and dry?

Thanks
Yao

Yao,
I was reading on the Junel pill and see that it contains a progestin. Is there a reason why your doctor has prescribed this for you? Usually the only reason a progestin will be prescribed is if endo was involved. You may not need the progestin. Any imbalance of the hormones can cause hot flashes. Are you having any other symptoms? Here's a list of symptoms of imbalance Too Much/Too Little

That said, it can take awhile to adjust to any changes in hrt. If the hot flashes are not getting any better it may be that you need to try something else.
