Post-op Lifting restrictions after sling cut & Adhesion Surgery?

Had TOT mesh sling cut on 8-29-06 due to scar tissue around mesh and making it too tight. Would like to know about restrictions after surgery and for how long??? Am still having some mild pain and have started spotting light pink to light red, and am having some pubic bone inflammation. Doctor gave OK to resume normal activities and lifting on 9-6-06. Will try to return to work on 9-12-06, but am worried about all of the heavy lifting that I'll be doing. Doctor just kinda brushed the heavy lifting off and said that he didn't see any forseeable complications from it. Can't help feeling scared!!! Need to know about what are the normal restrictions and recovery after sling cut? I'm 1wk and 4days out.

I had my sling out in 2 surgeries 1 week apart. I was told not to lift anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks and not to have intercourse for 4 weeks. I lifted something that weighed about 20 lbs around 8 weeks post-op and it hurt! 4 months after surgery I found that I could lift 50 pounds and it was ok. We all heal differently so you might want to try lifting some light things first before anything heavy. Your body will let you know if it's too much.
