Sunny Sunday September 10th

Hello s

It is beautiful here again today, we are going to head out for a walk to make the most of the weather before the cold & wet sets in.

Last evening we did pop out for a Thai meal to remind ourselves of the holiday but I tried to make some good choices.

Today so far is really good...I've been to the gym It wasn't too busy, think most people are still exercsing outside or still maybe on holiday.
Food-
Breakfast- yogurt with a muesli topping
lunch- rye bread, turkey slices and salad, banana
No snack as yet.

to all, old and new. Hope all is well, it's not often i start a thread these day.

Sunny Sunday September 10th

Morning Everyone

It's a lovely, , and cooler day here near the Jersey shore. My goal today is to get the pool ready to close. DH is off shooting and if I stick to my schedule I'll have the pool cleaned, water level down, treated and all set for him to help me put the cover on.

I've got DD's birthday cake in the oven. Have to run uptown for some celery as I'm making her requested dinner of chicken pot pie (some call it chicken and dumplings). I've left a few needed items to go the last minute. I just have no energy or forthought lately.

Yesterday found DH and I putting up a new "tent" in the side yard. We already had one where we keep a car and some things in storage. The old one had begun to fall apart and the new one was delivered on Friday. So it was HOURS of lifing, shoving, clearing out - hard work and my hand and wrists hurts so much last night. But it has to be done before my surgery this week. Hence closing the pool also....

Everyone sounds wonderful - very in tune with themselves - I could use some of that
Dany - I'm sending your way and hope you feel better soon.
Emily - I must have missed it, where are you going on vacation? 1st guess = is your son getting married? 2nd guess = first grandbaby on the way?
Desk - great to hear from you. Glad your handing in there.
Marion - so glad your up before us and can start the thread on the weekend! We're a sleepy headed bunch here today I guess.
Paula - glad your joining us. Love having new BEST friends.

Everyone enjoy the rest of this lovely weekend and stay safe in your travels.
M.

Sunny Sunday September 10th

Looks like a slow day in BEST land, it looks like the initial "M" is it for now.
Today has been a good day, it is cool and i have been baking,
Yellow squash bread, Beer batter bread, Spice cake for DH and Salisbury steak for dinner. I gave my brother next door the yellow squash bread, it made two loaves and the other one I will send down to my elderly neighbor. I did try a piece of my brothers loaf and it was delicous, Gertie decided to try it too, she is in her kennel bad doggy. Although it was a good thing because that is a slice I won't get to eat.
It has been a cloudy day but the sun is trying to peek out, Gertie and I will be heading out pretty soon for our evening walk.
Todays foods have been:
bkfst - egg and yogurt and soy milk
lunch - yellow squash and a slice of yellow squash bread
dinner - is a salad, I really don't care for Salisbury steak from the freezer package meals so will leave that for DH and DSs.
I must be off to finnish cleaning up my kitchen. Have a great evening. Great to hear from you Desk
Paula See you all later.

Sunny Sunday September 10th

Hi all, it's almost 10 pm and I'm running late but I wanted to stop by before bed. Can't even tell you what I ate today, it was a special singing (shape notes again) and there was lots, and I mean LOTS of food. All bad, so I enhanced it with salad
Dany, I'm sorry about the cold and extra sorry that your DD is going through this unfortunate streak with her team. It's so hard.
Melissa, surgery? I guess I have missed a lot.
Margo, yum!
Marion, enjoy that weather. How long does the nice weather last before the cold and wet?

Gotta run, will check in tomorrow, I hope!
Oh, PS, in real life, my middle initial is "M" so I do fit into today's thread!

Hi to all the M's and Desk too!
My maiden name begins with an M...does that count?

Busy busy day...up for church, but right before we left, DH spilled an entire drink on his laptop/chair/carpet...so we had to stop to clean up that mess...including running the steam cleaner (which STILL did not take up all the mess).
We should have taken our sleeping bags to church 'cause we both had meetings and classes all day...didn't eat dinner til 9:30 tonight.

Plus it was such an emotional day, as I told my dearest friends that we are moving to Texas, and I cried every time I told someone new... don't know why I bothered wearing any makeup today, 'cause it was all washed off...

Food was ok...but I really didn't bother counting WW points. Did have a nice salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and 1 scoop of ice cream for dessert - but I think it was all in my points count. Only bad part is that I did not walk tonight - just the running around all day. :roll2:

Hope you all have a good week...keep us informed on the surgery Melissa...by the way-how complicated is it having a pool? We're looking at houses in TX and that's something I would really like to get down there...is it worth the hassle? We lived there before, and I regretted not having one then.

Catch you all tomorrow.
Ali
