Angry - ovarian cyst ovarian cyst

Hello
I have been having problems with my right side, the pain is unbearable sometimes. The pain goes from my side down to the groin area. I went to the ER and they did a CT Scan and said it was a cyst. I was in the ER on the 22 of Aug. How long does pain last from a cyst? I beginning think I'm losing my mind. I can't go to GYN unless I have a referral. I sure don't want to spend another 10 hours in the ER just for pain pills. Do cyst normally go away by themselves?
Thanks
Donna

ovarian cyst

Donna,
Some cysts go away on their own, some don't. I suggest that you call your family doctor and make an appt. I assume that your family doctor would be the one to give you a referral, if they feel it is necessary. I do think you should have the cyst checked out by your doctor.
