Singing the Blues

Hi to all, this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone has had or going thru my problem. I had a TAH on 2/28/01. I am still off work. For 4 week and 2 days I was feeling great on the road to recovery (I thought). Low and behold I was in a public place and I coughed and water went every where. I had an IVP and my Uether was clipped. Cystoscopy twice, stent was unsucessful twice and now I have to have another surgery in ab other than C-section site. Wearing urine bag now. Surgery in another month. I was wondering if anyone could shed a little light my way. thanks

First off...

Let me say "Welcome To hystersisters and the road less traveled"!

I'm sorry you're suffering (doesn't that sound lame?) But I really am. Most of us here have some kind of post hyst problem. Let me make sure I understand -- you're suffering from stress - incontinence and a nephrostomy? Because you're ureter was clipped?

I think our own sassavee had the same problem (nephrostomy) and has since had it corrected.

I'll list her story here:http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...ht=nephrostomy

You're not alone.....

Hugs to you and hope to hear from you soon....

Hello and Welcome to HysterSisters.

I have not experienced all that you have endured, but I am dealing with ongoing bladder problems. Mainly bladder pain and incontinence. I wish you the very best with your upcoming surgery. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

Dear Adrite and LisaM,

Thank you for your replys. Yes Adrite, I am suffering from nephrostomy. Your referral to Sassavee sounds like a great fit, only my right Kidney. I did experience excruiling pain and called the doctors office and was told by the nurse that it was do to the epadural and take tylenol and go to bed. I will undergo surgery again next month with a 6 wk recoup. It is now 12wks post-op and I probably won't get to go back to work until mid-August. Two kids and a hubby. Thanks for you thoughts and prayers. Please keep them coming.
