TVH - great doctor=great surgery=great recovery

Hi, I had my surgery on Sept, 11 2006
I am doing great hardly any pain at all
i had a vaginal hysterectomy removing my uterus and cervix (i wanted to keep my cervix but doctor said best to take it out) I heard keeping the cervix helps with better orgasms i guess we will see. My uterus was 14 cm and it is supposed to be 7cm. My first doctor wouldn't consider doing a vaginal hyst. I went to another doc and he wanted to take everything out. the 3rd doc said he could do a vaginal hyst so i went with him He is a wonderful doctor!!! He had a hard time getting my large uterus out and i lost a lot of blood but he did it and i feel just fine.My problem was a 9cm fibroid plus another smaller one. I had minor problems with this for three years and just decided to go for the surgery. I am very nervous about having my first sexual experience, I will be so dissappointed if it is not the same as before. Hystersisters has helped me check out other alternatives but decided against them in the end. This sight has helped me see all the good and bad that can come with such a permanant decision.
