Pain From Sitting Too Long

Can't say as I have ever had THAT type of pain.
Almost sounds like sciatica nerve being pinched.... my ex had that and it went down the inside of his leg.
He couldn't sit at all.
Hopefully you can get in to get it checked out.

Not familiar to me either. Cindy is right about sciatica sounding.

My lower back pain usually hits when I am ironing or standing a while including shopping. It also keeps me awake at night. The only thing that I have found to help for now is really rigid shoe inserts for the insole/arch. It makes a difference on my posture which helps the belly and lower back.

Pain From Sitting Too Long

Hi Sisters

The feeling is as though something is bearing down on my rectum, if i run i get severe pain in the rectum and under the abdomen, could this be that the uterus is prolapse. My dr did not tell me, all he said to me is that he would advise me to get the hys because of the size of my uterus, he dont talk much when you ask him question. I am beggining to wonder if i should get another dr

Pain From Sitting Too Long

I've had the sciatica pain before and it can be quite debilitating!
It varies for me on exact location but generally runs from just left of my spine/at the tailbone, through the buttock and down the leg.
Sometimes I have pins & needles in the leg, sometimes numbness and sometimes no effect on the leg.
The sciatic nerve runs through the buttock, so you may want to try massage, alternating hot & cold, and try not to sit too long as that "seizes it up".
Certainly talk to your doctor, but in the meantime these things may help you

Pain From Sitting Too Long

I had pain and burning and then numbness in my legs and the center back. It turns out the position in the hospital bed were aggravating my arthritis causing aggravation to the spots.

Pain From Sitting Too Long

My prolapse had given me excruciating pain. Sitting is sometimes impossible. It feels as though a log is laying over my abdomen, all my internal organs are about to burst, and my lower back feels crushed. I have been using those shoe inserts to help alleviate the stress on my back. It could be that if you do have prolapse that you are subconsciously shifting to one side or the other for comfort reasons and causing the pinch/pain on the other side.

My first thought as you described your pain was it could be your sciatic nerves..and then I seen others mention it. You dr. can only tell you for sure. I would call them and say this is really hurting you and that you NEED to be seen.

Good luck to you. I hope and pray that pain eases up for you. Pain is NOT fun...I know that..living with fibro...but it can be managed.
