Anyone out there into yoga post op yoga ??

Hi

I am one week post op any yoga I can do like sun sals
or maybe dog/cat any pose for low back which is so
darn stiff

I am nearly one week post-op & wish I could continue my yoga too. I'm a yoga instructor at a small gym but my doctor told me Absolutely No Yoga. I told her I do it for aching also & if just light yoga would be ok, but she still said no. Soooo..i always remember the old saying: a stitch in time saves nine...in other words - i'd rather have stiffness than head back to surgery for torn stitches.

I cant wait to get back to it myself.. I really miss my morning ruitines....

But better safe than sorry...

I'm sure sun sals would be fine....I mean you're standing or sitting stretching your arms... take it slow and easy and you should be fine

did not want to accept. Also I wanted to share with
you that since I had to give up my uterus, I went and got a tattoo of the second chakra. I figured if I could not have it on the inside, I could have it on the outside!

Ha! I am considering having a uterus and ovaries tattooed on me, too! Everyone I've ever told has thought it was weird... it's nice to hear from someone who doesn't!

I waited 4 weeks until I did yoga again, and my instructor is a hystersister, too, so she watched me carefully and helped me through the first while.

Well.... I thought that I'd be doing some yoga post op (I'm at one week), you know, the light stuff, but now I have to rethink that. It's back to slow walking...

I am missing my yoga, I am one week post op and going stir crazy. Wishing I could do something to help my aching back.
