3 months post op problems--Advice needed

I had a hysterectomy (laporscopic--took everything including cervix) 3 months ago. I have been doing pretty good after an initial vaginal cuff infection 6 weeks post op, until last week. My dh and I had intercouse (as we have been doing since 8 weeks post op) but this time something felt different and uncomfortable. Afterwards I went to the bathroom and there was bright red blood in the potty and on toilet paper. I spotted on and off all night, mostly when I went to the bathroom and wiped but there was some blood throughout the next day (like a very light period). I also continued to have that "uncomfortable" feeling in my lower abdomen, kind of like a deep tugging that is painful at times. I waited a few days to see if it would resolve and it hasn't so I called and left a message for nurse, she called back and left me a message saying she was "concerned" and that I should call to schedule an appointment next week. She also indicated tha tit could take 2 weeks to get in.

I will push to get an earlier appt but wanted to jump on here and ask all you if this has ever happened to you or what ou think it could be? I'm pretty uncomfortable and a bit worried. Any information would be so appreciated!

Thanks in advance--

Hi (((Eligray))) It sounds like you may have some granulation (unhealed tissue) or a polyp on your vaginal cuff that may need to be treated. The usual treatment for these is silver nitrate, and vaginal estrogen cream can help the area heal faster afterwards.

I'm glad you're going to get in to have your DR look at this. Let us know what you find out, OK?

s,
-Linda
