Did you weigh yourself since your surgery??

Hi Sisters,

I had my hyster last Monday. I came home Tuesday. On Wednesday I weighed myself and got a shock I had gained 6 lbs. I weighed myself again today..several days later and I am back down by 3 lbs. I thought I'd lose weight not having a uterus, tubes, cervix and ovaries..but I gained...hummm lol.

I am assuming it was fluid retention. At least it's coming back off. Just curious if anyone else gained when they weighed themselves after they came home.

Down 5 so far. I'm pushing myself to eat because I really don't want to and I know my body needs protein right now.

Did you weigh yourself since your surgery??

Hiya..I had not weighed myself post op..until last thursday at the docs office, I lost 10 lbs since the surgery. WOW..I was surprised but not shocked since I cant really stomach too much at this point. YES I think it was the IV fluids for one and alot of retention from surgery. Its like when you have a child, you kinda blow up...You will lose weight, altho one nurse said "oh honey most typically women gain weight rather than lose" Wich upset me...I am finding it easier to do that diet now OMG..and hey sis, stay off the scale anyway, its too early to be even stepping on that thing, not even being one week post op yet!!

I gained 10 pounds, came off in about a week and then I have put about 8 of it back on with all of the wonderful treats people are bringing me (and some boredom eating)
Hope you keep yours off!!

??? I'm afraid too! But I will do that in the a.m. Truth is that I haven't been getting up at my usual weighing time of the morn'. So it hasn't occurred to me. It'd be great if my off-tasetbuds would result in a loss but I'm not so naive to think that would happen! I'll report in tomorrow. But the boredom eating, and treats, and all night movie marathons aren't a good sign!

Did you weigh yourself since your surgery??

Weighed myself this morning and am down 13 lbs. I'm just not hungry. I make myself eat veggies and lean meat, but nothing else appeals.

Did you weigh yourself since your surgery??

Hi, Sisters...
Yep, I was just weighed today at my 1st post-op (hyst 12 days ago), I weighed 128, pre-surgery was 134, so I lost 6lbs.

I believe it was fluid, uterus, adhesions, and not having much appetite.

Good luck to all taking care of our nutritional needs.

Boredom eating here.....gaining, I just know it. I feel like a blob, can't really exercise the way I used to.....I feel like a blimp. Today's not been a good day for me.....major bout of depression here, so the whole weight topic....I shoulda stayed away from...only adds to my depression......
