10/9 is exhausted.

Hi Ladies, You have to keep talking to me. I was okay yesterday. Today is a whole different story. I'm exhausted. I feel like I have a gallon of milk(8lbs) on each leg and a 20lb weight on my back. I'm not sleeping well. My adrenaline made me do, do, do, do. Then I coasted for a while. Encouraged others. Now I'm crashing. I can't believe it. I have one more student to teach today. I cancelled my afternoon student. I'm just going to the preop this afternoon, then I'm coming home and reading my Bible. Please keep talking to me. It really helps! Love Sneaker

I'm so excited about my surgery I can hardly wait! I go on 10/11. I'm sure I'll get nervous/anxious the night before.

Right there with you Sneaker...I feel drained...physically and emotionally. Was supposed to see my doc today...he had an emergency and was not in. So next week. Did get the pre-op lab work done..and surgery is still the 19th. I am scared, anxious, excited, overwhelmed...you name it. And I'm bleeding pretty heavily today...may be last period..may just be the usual "irregular" bleeding. Don't know, just want it to stop! I can't stop crying and I am a wreck here at work. Trying so hard NOT to think of all I need to do. And trying to stay still to calm the bleeding..GADS....We'll make it. I envy your date being so soon. This waiting is the worst!

Hi Starlight541, I'm home this evening and did my last preop today. It was a piece of cake. I can't wait either. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. I'm glad that it's only about 20 minutes from here. I think my family is more emotional than I am. I just feel like this is the right thing to do and everything is going to be just fine.Hope it's not a false sense of confidence. I've been through so many emotions I just want to be done with it. I'm on my last period too. I'm sending you lots and lots of hugs sweet sister. Love Sneaker

I am due to have my last period on the 9th - same day as my TAH God must have a sense of humor

Ladies you are in the foothills of your surgery - the pre-op is part of the process and as important as it is to rest and take it easy after the surgery, it is so very important to rest up now (it's so tempting to run around in a frenzy to get ready - avoid that temptation!) and go into surgery healthy, rested and strong. I am wishing you all the very best and looking forward to seeing you on the other side.
