Itching discharge and dry..

Shelle,
I'm sorry that I'll be no help with what to use...I'm having the EXACT same problem! I have NO clue if it's yeast or bacterial or what...I have an appt with my gyn june 1st. I've stopped ALL hrt for the time being as I don't know what is causing my problem. DH and I either use KY or I got some yam based lubricant at the local healthfood store...both work ok for sex but not for the itching/discharge. Please let me know if you find anything that works....I'm in the same boat you are!

Itching discharge and dry..

Hi ladies...
I've been itching and burning since January. After lots and lots of trips to the doctor, it's been discovered that my estrogen levels were so extremely low that I had developed vaginal atrophy. I am still struggling with this and do not know when I will actually start to feel better (or even if I will start to feel better!). I am taking estrace 2 mg, using 2 grams of estrace vaginal cream 3 times a week AND getting monthly IM injections of delestrogen. I DO NOT recommend discontinuing your HRT, Dealande...in my opinion that will make your problem worse. If your estrogen level gets too low you run the risk of vaginal atrophy (dryness, itching, painful sex). Keep taking your HRT until you get in to see your doctor. I changed my dose of hormones all alone back in November because I wasn't getting any help from my doctor at the time and I got myself into the big mess I'm in now. I really do hope both of y'all are feeling better soon. Take care and God bless.
