3 weeks post op today!

Okay so being objective I have to say that other than the pooping problem, it is okay. Not great, but okay. I have the twinges, occasional crying jags, fatigue, blah blah blah.....all things I expected so they don't really phase me that much. The pooping has been a huge issue that I never expected and has caused the most problems because it was so unexpected! Grrr......

So overall, I am still so glad I did this! There have absolutely been days that I wanted to crawl under the blankets and die (physically and emotionally) and there you all were to pull me back up!, there are more good hours in each day than before and those are all positive, healing things! Yup, there will probably still be some yuckies in the next several weeks and months, but hopefully they will be farther and farther apart and eventually they will fade away leaving me with a healthier, happier life.

So where are the rest of my "week of September 18th" sisters and how are you all feeling overall and about our decisions.

3 weeks post op today!

Good Morning Mskayjay,
I am 3 weeks as of tomorrow. I am feeling pretty darn good other than the twinges and spasms that my doc assures me are normal.
I have also been having pressure on my bladder when I am goint potty. Not at the first start but more like at the end, it feels like I am not able to empty it all the way, she said this is normal too.
I have had a few migraine headaches, the ones that make you sick to your stomach and all that helps is dark cool place to rest.
Oh well- I'll deal with those just like always.

I am going back to work next week. I have a sit down job and my doc said that it was totally up to me if I wanted to start back earlier, but to be aware of what my body is telling me. And my employer is totally understanding and have told me that If I need to leave early just to go ahead. Thank goodness for understanding bosses

Well 3 weeks out and I am still glad that I had this surgery done. I am looking forward to full recovery to get back to the things I enjoy.
Glad you are doing well and hope that the other ladies are well into their recovery also.

Have a wonderful day!

3 weeks post op today!

I was just 2 weeks yesterday but can already say I wouldn't turn back time! I even think my ovaries are still working. Overall feeling so much better just tiring a little quickly still. I didn't submit to all the pampering that I should have. There were just too many things going on in my life to let me really cocoon the way I wanted. But no make up and no bra for most of the last 2 weeks has been a treat!

Best wishes ~

3 weeks post op today!

Hi Again Mskayjay!

Happy 3 week Hysterversary!!!! I hope soon your bowels begin to work properly and you can put that also behind you. Surgery is never a fun thing, but if you can keep a good positive attitude about it, which you seem to have, it will be a much easier journey. I feel it's when we allow things to get to us that it brings us down and then the bad won.....but if you remain positive to overrides the negative we are so much more emotionally better off....if that all makes sense lol.

Keep up the good attitude. You're doing fine and your healing will continue and soon this will be a distant memory.

Hugs, love and many prayers!
