"bruised feeling" abdomen/vaginal soreness after sex

I had laproscopic assisted hysterectomy/oopherectomy (and cervix) 3 months ago. I had no complications following surgery. Sex is comfortable (more so than before surgery). However, after sex I notice upon waking the next day that my abdomen and vagina feel "bruised" and sore. Almost like the day after giving birth. It doesn't seem to matter if the sex was slow & gentle or not. This lasts for a day to sometimes a couple of days. Has anyone else experienced this?
