Question about compounded Testosterone

I have been using compounded testoterone cream for just over a year. As per my doctor, I have been applying directly to my vulva each morning. HOWEVER, I just read an article stating that I should alternate application sites. Can anyone else who uses this cream comment on where you apply? Should I ask my doctor about this? Thanks!

Question about compounded Testosterone

Hi!

Are you getting the results you want? If so, I wouldn't worry about changing application sites. If not, you may want to try other sites. I use my testosterone cream the same as you but I don't use it more than once a week at this point. In the past, when using it daily, I applied it to my wrists and also inner thigh. I had good results using it in those places, too.

This article called Where to Apply Compounded Hormone Creams will list appropriate places to try, keeping in mind that we're all different and sometimes it's necessary to experiment to find what works best. (Maybe this is the article you have already read. )

Question about compounded Testosterone

Thanks for the reply. I'm having some issues with yeast, so I was wondering if there was somewhere else I could apply to see if I could knock this candida out. It's going on 7 weeks and 5 treatments.

Another reason was that for some reason, I always seem to feel the need to urinate shortly after applying the cream. I could have just emptied my bladder, and sure enough, there comes the urge! I DO dring a lot for another medication that I am on, but I TRY to wait at least 30 minutes after applying the T-cream before having to remove it. I did read that article, and that is what prompted me to ask.

I need to call my doctor in the AM to ask about another issue I'm having with one of my medications interferring with my estrogen, so I will ask her about this as well. Thanks again.

Question about compounded Testosterone

I apply and have always applied my testosterone cream to my inner wrists. I just alternate wrists. While I know many do apply to the vulva, applying to my wrists has worked out well for me.
