Can stress make you bleed???

Hi Ladies

Ok I have had very little spotting since week one post op.
Then on Tuesday, I was totally stressing about interaction w/ dr office.
I was also stressing about dh being a butthead. On Friday, for the first time I had some spotting and was sore. I mean I am talking about maybe a tablespoon of old blood, not floods SORRY TMI
I did not think tooo much about it, but slowed way down
Yesterday, I worked from home, handling emergency calls for my job, which I have not returned to yet.
The phone was crazy busy, people were yelling at me, I was on the phone the whole day, but I was in bed.
I was totally stressed out and had a screaming headache,
Not used to it anymore..
Anyway, Last nite I had a bit of RED blood and a little sore. I mean again like a tablespoon not more. First time. Do you guys think this is related to stress of working.
Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated.
Seems like a small thing but it scared the hell out of me.

Can stress make you bleed???

Hi Harley,

I know stress can do a lot to the body, but I doubt it made you bleed. Did you maybe do something more than you normally do physially and don't recall maybe?

hummm, maybe more stitches dissolving??? I don't know..sorry. Hopefully some other sisters will have more ideas.

take it easy today ok?

Can stress make you bleed???

Im' suggesting the possibility of a couple of things:

We're both getting close to the 4 week mark. Could be that the internal stiches are disolving. Or maybe you were unknowingly tensing up your abdonimal muscles from your stressful day yesterday causing some irritation to the healing tissue inside. Or it could be a combination of both. I read on here that weeks 3-5 were especially critial for the internal healing.

Hope things get better for you. I personally wouldn't worry too much about it but call your doc for peace of mind!
