Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

Dear Sisters with ovaries but no cervix:

I'm wondering what your normal day-to-day vaginal fluids are like, once the bleeding and spotting are over. My spotting seems to be coming to an end at 9 weeks and I'm not sure what to expect.

Thanks - Cathy

Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

Hi
I had mine July 12th 2006.TAH with Bladder Sling. No cervix.. kept Overies.. I barley spotted in the hosp. Didn't even wear a pad home I don't think. The only spotting was when a stich got pulled.
I havn't felt this good in YEARS. Sex is better then before .DH LOVES the fact there is no 7 day + break anymore so AM I.
I do have to say I am a fast healer. I am back to normal and have been since 6 weeks. can lift anything with no hesitation.

Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

i may be wrong but i think you were asking about other vaginal fluids...not just spotting/bleeding, right? i've lost count where i am...erm...let's see...5 months yesterday...woohoo! i have one ovary and find i still have some sort of discharge most days. for ages it was a yellowish discharge. now that happens every once in a while and most days it's a milky white. doc says all is fine. so, so far it seems that Lonesome Lefty (my left and left-behind ovary) is pumping away.

just today i was wondering if/when i'll ever stop looking to see if i'm bleeding/leaking. i spent so much time/energy worrying about my cascading period and now i'm still programed to check! crazy but true.

hope i've answered your question. btw, how's life in pdx? i used to live there.

Thanks, Yes I was wondering about the fluids after the spotting is gone. Sounds like I may be back to normal soon - I hope!

Portland is as odd as ever. Wonderful alternative contingent and VERY cosmo old town and Pearl district - you wouldn't recognize it! Politics are as contentious as ever, now that election season is here.

Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

ah yes pdx politics...always good for a laugh. i've heard about the pearl district. sounds wild. i think i heard that portland center stage has a new space in the amory. weird. i lived there from '89-'98 (on and off...had a few adventures in between).

i think that many women tend to be a bit "drier" than i am describing but so far that has not been a problem for me. i've also had only one ovary for five years.

hope that helps.

wave to statue of portlandia for me. :-)

Hmmmm, I have to say it is like it was in the "waaayyy olden days". A slightly milky discharge. Not smelly or gross, just a slight something there sometimes. Doc says it is normal.
And I have to admit to "looking" myself. I never knew when the flood would happen. It is a habit I am looking forward to giving up! LOL.

Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

Now I feel like an idiot. The pale white discharge I've had over time -- are ya'll saying it's from the ovaries? I never realized that. Jeepers, don't I feel like a goon! I'm just 3 weeks post and no discharge at all to date. Too funny, NewYorkGal, about always looking for stuff. Even when I pee at night I turn the light on now to see if anything is on the tissue. I thought I was getting OCD or something but thanks for letting me know I'm normal!

Question for sisters with ovaries but no cervix

What body part produce our lubrication? That is my new question? I am only three weeks myself and have had only 2 days of spotting in the hosipital, but some mild discharge (kinda the normal pre TAH)

What happens to HIS discharge if our cervix is closed? I know TMI, Just wondering with too much thinking time on my hands
