headaches/nausea when ovulating

I had my uterus and cervix removed on August 30th. My gyn left my ovaries because I'm 35. I had the surgery because of cysts, nausea, vomiting and headaches. Once she was in there she removed the cysts on my right ovary and said my ovaries looked good so she wanted to keep them for now.

I have ovulated twice since my surgery. I know exactly when I am because my breasts swell, I retain water, have the headaches and nausea just like before and pain on my right side. I went to my six week check-up and told gyn what I'm still experiencing. She said would remove the ovaries. I chickened out. I cannot take bc. They tried me on the lowest dosage and my body couldn't handle it.

I was reading in my massage pathology book about cysts that cause the problems I am having could be the kind that could be a precursor for ovarian cancer. My cysts aren't large so I can't decide if I should just live with these symptoms or take them out and not chance developing something more serious. Has anyone had the same problem? I am suppose to go back to see her again next friday and I don't know what to do.

I kept my ovaries when I had my LAVH - I still get some of the PMS symptoms - breast swelling and tenderness and headaches. I had the right ovary removed 2 years ago due to a complex cyst and adhesions. I still have the left ovary and hope to keep it - I would like to avoid menopause until necessary - the PMS side effects are not the greatest but for me I think menopause could be worse.

I hope you can find what works best for you.

Take care.
