Prayers needed for upcoming TAH

Hi Sisters,

Please keep me in your prayers as I get ready for my TAH on 10/30/06. I am very nervous about the whole procedure as well as the after effects (ie: menopause). If anyone has any encouraging words for me I will be so grateful.

I was extremely nervous before mine also as I'm sure we all were and are. You will be soo glad when it is over and everything will be fine. Just remember you have us all waiting for you on the post op side to help and anwser any questions you have or just to vent. Good luck and you are in my prayers

I was so happy to have found your post. My surgery is also 10/30/06. I will say a prayer for you, please say one for me. Somehow, it makes me feel a little better to know that someone will be sharing in my experience at the same time. I have always been a worrier but, am trying to remember how great things will be afterwards. Best of luck to you. Michelle

MS and Michelle,
I just wanted to let you know I have put you on my calendar to remind me to pray for you before your surgery. What helped me is my church had me on a prayer chain and I trusted that God was watching over me. Take care of yourselves and I look forward to hearing from you on the other side of your surgery. This site is also an amazing resource and has helped me so much, the knowledge that their are so many sisters out there that truly care and support us is more encouraging than words can express. Know that you are in my prayers.

Hi Val & Michelle, Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am trying my best to keep an opened and focused mind as well as outlook. But you know how it is when your nerves step in and mess everything for you. At least this is how I am feeling. I am scared about next week's surgery and I hope and pray that everything turns out ok in the end. I also hope that I do not feel less of a woman because of it. I will keep you all posted after my surgery. Maria
