estrogen & grapefruit juice interaction

I can't remember the details on this, can someone elaborate???

Grapefruit interacts with many medicines, it's not just with oral estrogen. Grapefruit greatly increases absorption in unpredictable ways. But its effect is only when grapefruit and pill are in the same place at the same time. In other words, it's not wise to swallow your oral meds with a glass of grapefruit juice.

it's only oral estrogen?? I thought it was all estrogen.

For awhile my tyroid, estrogen, testosterone all got so low I was swilling grapefruit juice with them, but after awhile gave it up. It did seem to give me a burst of energy, but unpredictable and I don't need 300 calories extra a day of grapefruit juice. I'd rather have a good red wine. Also vitamin C, sudafed, sauna's or things that make your metabolism reach the point of sweating seem to affect the levels. I had alot of problems with the patch, it would dose dump, leaving me overdosed and ripping the thing off, and/or it wouldn't dose. I like the gel better, but I used to hate that. One thing I do know is that I had to forget about "normal" and "usual" and just try to get a new level of "good". Noom

how many pumps do you use?
