When it rains, it pours....

Needed to vent a bit.

My LAVH is 11/6. Scared of hospitals, surgery, anesthesia, doctors pointing and laughing at my chubby body while I'm wacky on the junk, that sort of thing.

Going thru re-organization at work, and unsure where I will be located - last time I had to move myself. This time, if they don't get it done before I go to the Castle - someone will help me, or I will take a much longer leave of absence....not going to risk my health for that!

Now, to top all the worries of surgery & work - my DH has been informed that we must travel to Pittsburgh (from AZ) for him to have some testing done - and will be gone for a week. He is a liver transplant recipient (18 years ago), and is being evaluated for the possibility of needing another one in a few years. We were told Thursday & have to leave Tuesday very early.

Thanks for listening - blessings to you all.

You sure have a lot on your plate. WIsh I could offer some advice, but just have good wishes for a safe trip for you and DH and that your surgery goes very smoothly. I know what you mean about the things we worry about. I can't stand to see dignified people tended to with no respect for their dignity. Sometimes the hospital personnel is so busy that they forget that even if someone is confused, groggy, old and/or sick, they may be very well-respected people in the community and ALL should be treated that way. It drove me nuts when my FIL was very sick in the hospital and when the nurses sat him up, they would just let his gown ride up etc. Just not right, IMHO. Anyway, I digress. It will be over quickly and you will be feeling so much better. As for the moving at work, take the leave and let someone else do it.
