surgery moved up

I went back to my doctor yesterday and surgery has been moved up to the thirty-first. My anniversary and trick or treat night. Preop is monday. I kind of knew it would be soon but I thought I'd have at least another week. Getting more nervous about the whole thing now.

I've been on the list since Aug. 8 and still haven't had confirmation that Nov. 8 will actually be the date.

Hello in Canada! I hope your surgery will be on the day you want. Waiting is sometimes the worst part, isn't it? Well, usually the worst part, nine times out of ten.
I'm really worried because my husband is disabled, if I don't work there is no money, and Christmas is closer and closer. So I'm stressing over the surgery, Christmas, how to feed us all (four children, my husband and I, and my mother), etc.
Well, I suppose all I can do is repeat the same litany I've been using to try to convince myself that everything will be okay---" it will all work out, things will get better".
