Should I call the dr.

I have been on Videlle for about 3 1/2 months now, THey were working great. Now in the last 2 weeks. I have been so moody and can't sleep again. I can fall asleep but can't stay asleep. Just last night dd was making a lot of noise in the car. I have to hold myself back from just blowing up on her. My mom was in there and she could tell how mad I got. I am also having some weird thougths such as my bf cheating on me and I know that will not happen but I just like my mind starts wondering. It is kind of scary. I have already comforted him once last week. And we had a really long talk. I told him that I don't know where is is coming from. It is like I think of really weird stuff. Do I need a higher dose or what. I feel like I'm losing my mind or some crazy person has taken over my body.

I got like that, too, before I got a different dose of hormones. I don't like feeling like I'm out of control - having nightmares and imagining things that don't exist.

So if it were me, yes, I would call the dr.

You've been on it long enough for your body to adjust to the dose.

i am so sorry for your pain. my rule of thumb is that is if i feel like i need to call the doc, then i do. from what your are describing, i strongly suggest you call your doc. another suggestion is to call your pharmacist. they are always a great source of information when it comes to medicaiton. good luck. take care of yourself.

TRM - I am on the vivelle patch as well. I started on the .05 and while that dose helped with hot flashes and night sweats, I still had trouble with insomnia. (my doctor said insomnia is his number one complaint after hysterectomy) He bumped me up to .075 and it has helped. I sleep better now although I still have my nights. Good luck and I hope you find balance soon, Hallie

TRM, have you had your dr do blood work and check all your different hormone levels? you didn't say what you are on or what dose. I definettley would call the doc and make sure you tell him how you feel. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Should I call the dr.

I have a blood work done. That was when I was told that my estrogen levels where low. They have only on .25 Videlle and also I do still have both of my ovaries.

Should I call the dr.

I just got off the phone with my dr's nurse. She said that since I still have my ovaries they don't like to up the dose on Videlle. She asked me if I have ever been on Exfferor . She said that might help me. Then she decided that I need to come back in and talk with the dr. So, now I have to wait until next Thursday. Have anyone else been put on Exfferor? She said it sounds like I'm trying to go through menopause. What do ya'll think?

Should I call the dr.

I was just reading an article about women who have had hysts but kept their ovaries still going through menopause shortly after the surgery, so the nurse could be right. My friend is on Effexor and she feels 100% better. It would probably be better if they could get your hormones balanced but do what ya gotta do, is my motto. Good luck.

as with any medicaiton, you need to try it and see if it works . some people do great on effexor and some dont do that well. try it for yourself, if it works then great and if it doesnt then your doc/nurse can suggest some other medication like celexa or lexapro. i am so happy that you chose to call your doc. i look forward to hearing of your success.
one more alternative to try that has helped me greatly is eft. our social worker is an eft master and given me the tools to control pain, insomnia and hot flashes. the best part ist hat the control is within me and i am not using any medication, at least, so far. i just take it one day at ta time. take care wishing you success
