And still feeling really rough. I know my iron is low so I have been taking the supplements, but they make me so nauseated I can barely keep ice and crackers down. I got one of the drains from the tt pulled today so it feels a little better but man I am still in a lot of pain. I think the hysterectomy was a major success. No bleeding, only minor discharge now and I think most of my pain is tt related. I am still glad I did them together, just didn't realize how much it'd kick my bum. On the positive side I lost 7lbs of yucky skin. I had lost 157lbs since 2003 so I had lots of yucko flab and loose skin that they took as well as tightening the tummy muscles since I obviosly won't be having any more babies! Any advice on how to get more iron while being this nauseated?

Hi! Just had my hysterectomy Oct 25th, but I had a tt 8 years ago - regarding recovery the hysto was a "piece of cake" by comparison! I, too, was very glad I did it (the tt)! All I can tell you is be patient. The first 2 to 4 weeks are the worst - my abs. were soooo sore! I forbid any comedy shows for fear I would laugh!! Like so many rough spots in life - you will get through it and I hope you are as happy with your results as I was mine!! Take care and take it easy!

take the iron before bed, you may not get as nauseated the next day.
