First Bleeding in 5th week post op

Not sure if this is normal. Have some bleeding this evening. Light, but similar to first day on a period. Hadn't been feeling well all day. Cramping and new slight pain in abdomen (behind belly button area) My recovery has been slow. Pulled some abdomen muscles 2 weeks ago.

I had a TAH on October 9th. Supposedly removed the uteris and cervix. So is this possible to have bleeding?
Or do you think I'm just doing too much?

Any suggestions? I will call my Doc in morning any way, but wanted to get some of my sisters' own experiences first.

First Bleeding in 5th week post op

I also was still having some bleeding at my 6 week post op. My dr. put some sort of adhesive inside me. (He used the device that they use for a pap, and had some type of "glue" stuff on it). He explained to me not to have "relations" with my dh for at least 5 days and sent me home. That was the end of the spotting. He did not really explain what happened, and if he did explain it I really didn't understand it, but it had something to do with the area of the removed cervix?? He also stated to me that about 20% of woman have this issue. I have been spot free since he did that in office glue thing. Good luck and when in doubt talk to your Dr.

I did call my doc, and he saw me this afternoon.
He said things are looking good up there said it was a little bleeding from the vaginal cuff. Told me that if it gets stronger to go back to him, but he didn't have to cauterize it. Still having cramps, he gave me some Motrin 800, but I didn't fill it yet. I'll see if I still need it in a couple days. i go back for my 6 week appt. on the 21st. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get the Green Light

Thank you both for your replies.

Yep, that's what he said.
I already thought I was taking it easy. My DH has been doing all the laundry, and having the kids do the dishes most days. I feel like a bum when I'm not doing as much as I want to, but I still fold clothes, cook a little and any other thing that doesn't require much effort. And I've learned not to bend over at all !!! I wonder how long I can get away with this after I heal...ha ha.
