Anyone do yoga?

I am just at two weeks post op tomorrow and yearning to do some stretching but not sure. I walk for about 40 min a day. I do only upper arm stretching and a balancing pose in the morning after getting out of bed. Will see the doc on Wed for a my first post op. If you know or have experience I would appreciate your input. Thanks for reading.

Anyone do yoga?

Hi,

I do some yoga but I'm now 7 months
post op. I had a TAH and started doing
it after 3 months only. And veeery slowly.
I noticed in your profile that you had a
laproscopic surgery so it's different, but
I think that 2 weeks it's too early for anything
but walking. Walking is always good.
Try to be patient.
I wish you a speedy recovery.

Anyone do yoga?

This may discourage you, so let me apologize. I used to do regular yoga for one hour a day pre-op. My yoga teacher has however advised me to wait for six months before I can go back to my routine. So presently I am only doing the simple exercises suggested by my doc (the usual post-partum exercises)

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Hope that your six months go by quickly so you can resume. For me yoga has been such a great form of excercise and destresser. My yoga group is very peaceful and gentle. I may have to visit and just lay on my mat. Take care- Readzenread
